qboronyrican Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 havent found this answer in my searches.......when syncing the carbs does having the boost bottle on or off make a difference???? i would think that with it on it would equalize/sync them and you would get a bad reading.......some expert advice here would help and maybe give me a better understanding on this Quote
bigboybanshee Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 I really don't think the boost bottle will have an effect. Even if the reading was "inaccurate", your goal is still the same, make the carbs pull the same amount of air. If one side is pulling more than the other, than your carbs are not in sync. I'm assuming you're using one of the sync tools, right? On another note, even if the boost bottle is in fact aiding in keeping the carbs synced, technically it shouldn't matter as long as your slides are both opening at the same time and both cylinders are running equally. I guess if it comes down to it you could always remove the boost bottle, plug the holes, and test it again once you think you have them in sync... Quote
