KaosBanshee44 Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 I posted a pic of my carb but the deal is that a buddy of mine just bought a banshee and it leaks so much gas out this one hose coming off the carb. Anybody have an idea as of why? Quote
MDS2106 Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 Either the float height is out of adjustment, the float valve has trash in it,or the float valve and seat are worn out. Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted May 23, 2007 Author Report Posted May 23, 2007 Thanks, we thought about that but just wanted to get some different opinions from everybody. Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 first thing first do a carb cleaning. remove the bowl from the bottom in cluding the jet as well as the car top & remove the slides. Give it a good washdown with the carb cleaner. Most of these probs come from debris in the carbs! I had the same prob & dissapeared once cleaned those carbs, I could actually see sand grains in there! Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted May 23, 2007 Author Report Posted May 23, 2007 Thanks i'll pass it on to him. Quote
MDS2106 Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 How do you actually get grains of sand in your carb?Did you remove the fuel filters in the tank? Quote
bigboybanshee Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 How do you actually get grains of sand in your carb?Did you remove the fuel filters in the tank? Sand can sneak by the air filters Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 I got sand in the carb not in the tank. I lost a pod in Glamis, sucked sand in there! Quote
