I noticed on jetsrus.com that they say I dont need to change my needle only my mains, But other jet kits come w/ needles. Just wondering what I need. Just ordered CPI inframes and I need to know the best place to order get my jet kit. Besides a K&N the bike is stock. Im running in Florida. Any and all advice is appreciated! :ninja: Thanks in advance.

with jetsrus they use mikuni main so they work with your stock needle and many others. Some pipes work much better with a smoother taper needle in the mids. So if you order from them, you wont need to change your needle, but contact the manu or dealer to find out if a dynojet needle or whatever might work better. Or maybe someone on here with cpi`s will tell you what they run. But to answer your question, yes you can just buy the mains from them.

Thanks. Sounds like im gonna order from them.

I am running a single K&N in the air box right now. Do the seperate pods make much difference?

I hope you make some more mods to your motor soon. CPI's like a little more done to the motor than just a K&N filter. You will get better performance from fatty's or t5/t6's than you will cpi's on a stock motor. Just fyi.

Thanks. Some major porting coming soon. Any thoughts on the dual pods?

I've ran both types of filters, and didn't notice any difference. If there is any chance at all you might ride through any mud or water I'd stick with the box/no lid.

I have had both as well. Had a prodesign bolted to the box with the k&n. Had to switch to pods because the new carbs and billet intake moved it back to far for the box to still bolt up. Both about the same price when all said and done with outwears. I liked the prodesign a little better than the pods. Just me being scared, i'm afraid i'm going to look down one day and a pod fell off while riding in the dunes.

The pods will lighten up the bike a little eliminating the air box. But if you ride where there is water I would stick with the box. Also have to relocate or do away with the over flow bottle. I just did away with mine.
