bigboybanshee Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 Depends on what you mean by oily....oil on your plug could be a blown crank seal If you're just rich, then go down on your jets. But if you have oil on your plugs, you might want to check your crankcase pressure before going too far in trying to jet it. Quote
dajogejr Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 If you're plugs are black then you are waaaaaaaay to rich!!!!!!! I already told you GRR pipes like less fuel than others. Trust me I have been down this road tons of times. Please listen to this man...he probably has as much experience with GRR setups as Andy himself. I agree...do a leak down test...because if you're sucking air or oil from anywhere in that motor, it doesn't matter what jets you run in the motor (I've been down that road as well...) Quote

And if my plugs were black would i need to go down in jet size? Or could it be too much oil in the fuel? Quote
420_Big_Bore Posted May 12, 2007 Author Report Posted May 12, 2007 I've just been told that wiseco dont make 68mm pistons for stock cranks, only stroker cranks.?? Quote
race-a-holic Posted May 17, 2007 Report Posted May 17, 2007 I would definitely "read the plug".Different pipes like different jetting. If the plug looks white or the it starts popping, you are way lean and better jet up. A friend of mine had one and it would sound like a .22 going off when he bought it and run horrible. It was insanely lean.He had pro cicuits.I think he ended up with a 400 main. He also had stock carbs and clamp-on K&N's.That bike run real good once the jetting was right. The PC's do like alot of fuel but the GRR's might not. Quote
