question on timing and octane.

hey guys. i did a search and didn't really find anything. if i advance the timing by 4 degrees, will i have to run a higher octane fuel? thinking about buying a timing plate.

No, with the mods in my sig I still run 91 octane. Been working fine for me.

for the most part advancing 4 degree you can run same gas... only way you should have to go up is if your already running high compression and then you advance your timing... theres a ton of factors... but for the most you should be ok... listen for signs of detonation at first ...
