ok guys.. which is better? cause i can get a cheetah from a guy i know, the complete kit for 3000. But.. id think theyre the same minus the powervalves.. And some sort of.. reed kit thing... Who sells cheetahs? besides trinity, cause i aint buyin from them. What do the powervalves do? are they good? only for drag? can they be used for fireroads.. ive been under the impression that a cheetah and a cub were the same, and that people just sometimes called them cheetahs but clearly this is not the case. If you had a chioce from a 10 mil cub and a 10 mil cheetah, which is better?

Cheata is better for fireroads I would think, powervalves should make the power a bit broader. It also uses a special head. So it has larger Reeds, Different Head and Powervalves. BTW you said 10 mil so I would go for the full cheata hands down to avoid problems with reeds.

Assuming I had money to throw around, otherwise the cub is more bang for the buck.

There's a cheetah cub and a cheetah powervalve. Cheetah cubs are the same bore as the power valve and same peak HP but the cubs uses regular banshee reed set up and regular head, I could be wrong tough. a powervalve has the power valves which helps in low end torque. the faster you go and the more exhaust pressure in the cylinder the the more the powervalves will open up. the powervalves also use a special head just for the powervalve motor. The powervalve also uses a CR250 reed set up since it needs more air than a cub. the powervalve is also more expensive that's why you see ,more cubs than P.V.'s it's all personal preference though.

i believe that a cub has a 68mm bore and the cheeta has a 72mm bore aside from all the p.v. stuff...

cub and powervalve are 68mm bores.....a 72mm bore might be a super cub
