ProRider199 Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 whats up everyone, i went out today for the first time on this top end after it blowing up on the same side twice. again, the left side doesnt always want to fire. finally bought a jet kit, thought it ran fine at home but when i got to the lakebed, it wouldnt start it was so rich. leaned it out, ran ok at idle, but still not normal. this is what i have. 340 mains, and the only way to get the bike to run at its best was right carbs needle is at the 4th clip and the left carb is at the 1st clip. when they were at the same position, the left side wouldnt fire. the plugs look good, but it just keeps crapping out while im riding. wtf?? i cant figure it out, please help me out. thank you, troy Quote
strokerace Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 sounds like you may have an electrical problem if your losing fire on the same side as before swap plug wires around and see if miss changes cylinders Quote

bdrak11 Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 Hey im new to this forum, but im having the same issue, with the recent rebuild and left side not firing, but i just found a blog that said to check if the carb slides were in the correct carb. Apparently the slides are angle cut and the angle should be facing the filters. I checked mine and sure enough they were in the wrong side, anfle facing cylinders. Hope this helps. Quote
samc Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 they switching the plug wires, install new plugs. mine did that before. Quote
