blueshee03 Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 Hell yea found some yamabond from this little shop like 25 mins from me :biggrin: yamabond 4 and yamaha quick gasket have both been discontinued by yamaha. i believe most yamaha dealers are recommending using threebond tb1104 as a replacement. As Jeff said, the 1211 is the stuff. The 1104 is the replacement or equivalent for the yamabond. The 1211 is silicone based and seals very nice. We prefer it over the Yamabond. It is not cheap but well worth it. Brandon Quote

Well that seems funny because that is what I bought was yamabond 4. Is this stuff no good is that why it was discontinued? I can always take it back found another shop today that has some yamabond 5 that I bought my jets from. I would rather get this done right the first time rather than have the seal go bad on me. Quote

I would rather get this done right the first time rather than have the seal go bad on me. yamabond 4 is a semi drying and yamabond 5 is a drying sealant.both are good but i prefer the drying type over the semi drying type.
