Knight_Rider Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 Hey guys just a quick question lately ive been out riding and have noticed that after 40min riding the bike start to break up under acceleration. Its fine when i first pull it out of the trailer and ride round for 30-40min dosent miss a beat, but after 40min when you go to open the throttle up it hesitates and pops out the exhaust. nothing else has changed i still run a 35:1mixture same fuel ive pulled the carbs apart to see if i had a blocked jet they were all ok, reeds are all in good nic, ive heard that the coils give problems in them can anyone help me out cheers jarrad Quote
Washburn Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 Are you overheating at all? Check you plugs you might be rich. Also check your filter and make sure its attached properly no water got in ect... Quote
400rednEX Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 i had an intermittent problem like that, the coil power wires were loose. your coil could also be going bad. Quote
dajogejr Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 Yep...normally electrical rears it's ugly head with heat.... Try removing the plug leads, replace them with NGK. Factory plug caps are known to go bad...and they're about 7 or 8 bucks each to replace them. Quote
