  1. Hey guys just a quick question lately ive been out riding and have noticed that after 40min riding the bike start to break up under acceleration. Its fine when i first pull it out of the trailer and ride round for 30-40min dosent miss a beat, but after 40min when you go to open the throttle up it hesitates and pops out the exhaust. nothing else has changed i still run a 35:1mixture same fuel ive pulled the carbs apart to see if i had a blocked jet they were all ok, reeds are all in good nic, ive heard that the coils give problems in them can anyone help me out cheers jarrad
  2. yea ur right when i look at them close they do look like my set of fmf pipes aswell mmmmmmmmmmm got me thinking now

  4. the pipes are brand new never been used before i can send u guys the link if u want to have a look at them. Roughly $300nz is around the $150 american
  5. hey man thanx for the reply the guy wants $300nz dollars for them brand new which is pretty cheap. My motor is a 350 64.75 prolites hotrod crank 35 pwk35mm carbs fmf pipes ported cylinders pro design intake with spacers goes really well with the fmf pipes but keen on the trinity ones
  6. hey got sum stage 4 trinity pipes over here a guy is trying to sell me reckons they are stainless steel anyone got any opinions of these pipes over the fmf fatties??
  7. Hey guys just wondering who sells the carb syn tools? I checked my slides in the carbs today and the l/h one seems to be opening slightly before the r/h side is there anyway of adjusting them. I have pwk35's on it
  8. Hey just wondering what the trinity big bore kit was like? i was racing in the weekend and i guy over here had a trinity kit man this thing was quick he was doin the same times as a guy on a superquad which had a cbr100rr engine in it, mind u he is a good rider but still what kinda hp would one of those kits put out?
  9. i have heard that the kenda tyres seem to wear really good i had a set of dominators a while ago which seemed to have lasted ages, ive just got a set of razors im gona try out so will be interesteing to compare them
  10. what do you think of kenda dominators? i dnt know if they are the same as kenda knarleys they are called dominators over here
  11. hey guys just wanting your opinion on what tyre wears the best for shingle/hard packed clay surface ive had a set of holeshots and found that they did wear very quick what are the razors like? what kind of life would you see out of a set of tyres? i only ride maybe once a week
  12. thanks for that i'll give them a call. Sick of tightning the factory bolts that come lose all the time lol
  13. Hey looking at buying one o those upgraded rear axle nuts the posi lock ones. for a lonestar rear axle Anyone know where i can get one from? Im From New Zealand so will need it freighted over here aswell, can anyone help me cheers
  14. i run a +2 lonestar axle in my bike never had any problems with it seems to take the abuse i give it
  15. mmmmmmm making me wonder if the head has been milled before. The compression tester i was using isnt a cheap one its a snap on one and i know its pretty accurate
  16. i checked my compression today in my freshly rebuilt motor it still has the stock head on it and i got a even 150psi in each cylinder unless the head has been milled before i thought they were stock 130psi? any1 got any thoughts? the compression test was done with the bike cold and throttle wide open
  17. it was done on a long flat shingle road. I know the gps is pretty acurate because we tested it with a car it is was withing 2km give or take. When we had the turbo gsxr out we gps that at 195km/h on the same spot. My mods include hot rod crank wiesco pro lights pro design intake and spacers, boyseen reeds fmf fatty pipes still running standard compression and ignition, has 35mm Keihn carbs with mild port work. got a lone start +2 axle running maxxis razor 20x11x9 tyres im gona try it with a 15t front sprocket and a new set of tyres and see what i get
  18. Hey got my bike running after full engine overhaul went out today to run it in, i had my mates gps straped to me to see what speed i could do. With bald tyres and a 14 tooth front sprocket 41 rear i managed 128km in top gear with major wheel spin. With a new set of tyres and a bigger front sprocket i reckon i can get round the 140-50 mark has anyone else gps there bike?? would like to compare speeds
  19. yea its in there good, ive had the impact gun on it while someone else was hitting the other end still not budging, i think its moved about an inch and its locked up again, what a stupid design i would have thought there would have been a greese nipple to stop this from happening grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
  20. Anyone had problems getting the swing arm bolt out? ive spen the past 2 hours trying to free the bolt. Its seized inside the sleeve has anyone had to cut it before?
  21. thanks for the help guys i'm with you on this one if a 2 stroke has been setup right there is no reason why it cant be as reliable as a 4 stroke. Those new 4 strokes are highly stressed motors and to keep up with the 2 strokes they have had to spend big money on them to do so. I think what i might do on my shee is put a EGT into each pipe and measure the exhaust temps under load and make sure both cylinders are running nice and even that way if i set it up on a egt i know what changes it will make if i change the jetting. Most of my riding is at sea level and our temps over here on average are around the 18-25 degrees with bugger all humidity very dry heat.
  22. Yea i can see where you are coming from, this guy was really negative about 2 strokes i think he had it in for them lol. I've done alot of straight line runs in mine WOT ive never melted a piston yet touch wood lol. Do you think the 155 main jets are regarded as small? the motor is still a 350cc ive just had so many people give me different opinions i know the only way to do it properly is to do a plug chop but i just want a base to start with the motor has fmf gold series pipes pro design intake boyseen reeds standard timing and compression 35mm KEIHIN flatside carbs jarrad
  23. Hey guys had my carbs apart today and noticed that one carb had a 152main and the other had a 155 is it common to have to different sized main jets? i would have thought i would have made one cylinder run leaner. The pilots were 55 they were both the same. What i really want to know is there a basic formular for working out jet sizes?? was talking to a guy today who was trying to tell me that 2 strokes will melt down if held wide open throttle for 2 long he reckoned that the only way to stop this was by keeping the lid on the airbox and having a adjustable sccop which allowed air into the box, kinda like governing the motor bit like a diesel, if you restrict the airflow it wont rev out the same if you add more air it will rev out. By removing the airbox lid he reckoned that they can just keep reving till they self destruct, anyone got any thoughts to this??.
  24. No worries ive got a mate living over in Perth i think its south of perth. We got good riding over here to i'm goin to be entering my bike in the Race to the sky hillclimb event at easter which is a big international event over here just like pikes peak but not quite as high. It starts at 1500ft and goes up to 5000ft so gota get my jetting sorted for that what mods have u done to your shee? motor is just about ready to go in this weeked with a bit of luck
  25. thanks for the help guys when i worked out the equation it worked out to be 10thou
