David Keith Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 (edited) Before you assume the reeds are bad, have you checked your jetting? What about the metering needle height? Was everything running great & now it bogs right after you installed the vito reeds? No they are not junk reeds. Are the reed petals closing all the way? Edited April 17, 2007 by David Keith Quote
1966nova Posted April 17, 2007 Author Report Posted April 17, 2007 the jets are stock and needle setting never have been touched also the reeds are closing all the way it just feels diffrent shouldnt it be more peppy??? Quote
Michael Jackson Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 maybe u installed them wrong, and/or have an air leak somewhere around yuour intake manifold or carberators? did u put all the intake boots on right and tighten down the hose clamps? put the carberators back together right? all hoses hooked up properly? Screaming Yellow Zonker Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 IMO you need to clean out the carbs. and a jet kit would help your bike out also. http://www.vitosperformance.com/atv_parts/...=197&page=1 when you port the cylinders and add an exhaust system the engine will demand more fuel. if you don't give the engine more fuel you will lean burn the engine and possibly causing engine failure.
