bansheeyfz Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 I got bought riding boots and i cant shift for shift in them. on my 450 it feels natural. i raised the shifter and when draging i cant make it into 4th. I want to put the shifter in stock location but I wont be able to get my boots under that and the peg. Is ther anybody that makes 1 inch longer shifters. Any one have tips for this Quote
BansheeKid15 Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 on my banshee i raised the shifter up a notch. if was wierd at first i always kept on hitting between the gears and it wouldnt catch and it would just rev..,. i got used to it and now everything is cool. I know that some people have bought longer shifters and/or modified their (welding a piece in). Quote

MILO Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 when i got my boots, i moved my shifter up to get underneath it better and still had problems. i realized that i made it easier to shift up, but i wasn't letting my foot back down far enough to return the shifter to it's normal position. then it wouldn't shift up to the next gear. keep trying and you'll get used to it with the boots. it feels like you shift with more of your leg than just moving your ankle since the boots don't allow you to do that anymore.
