RIPRuck Posted April 14, 2007 Author Report Posted April 14, 2007 This thing RIPS!!!!! It's all set. The reason I say this is because I have a K&N, outerwears, airbox and lid. Everytime I come home, this thing is FILTHY. I never go out thinking I'm going to hit mud and water but it is inevitable around here. I'm the only other one around here with the two stroke to represent! Don't let some dirt and water kill your bike. Shoot me a PM when your ready to rip. Will do.. Quote
dajogejr Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 Stock needle? Middle or 2nd clip from the blunt end....depends... 27.5 pilot. 30 is too big, period....even with the air box removed. Quote
RIPRuck Posted April 14, 2007 Author Report Posted April 14, 2007 Stock needle? Middle or 2nd clip from the blunt end....depends... 27.5 pilot. 30 is too big, period....even with the air box removed. The needle is from a magnum jet kit.. Originally it had the needle from a Toomey kit but replaced it with the magnum RED one. That would be 4th clip from the blunt end! Too rich on the needle? So as for now with the mods mentioned I should start with a 340 main, 27.5 pilot and what needle setting for 115ft above sea with temps 50-60 degrees? Quote
dajogejr Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 Does it have 5 grooves or 6? If 6, try it 4th groove down from the blunt end. If the middle is blubbery, put it in the 3rd down from the blunt end. Quote
RIPRuck Posted April 21, 2007 Author Report Posted April 21, 2007 Today I cleaned out the carbs really good, adjusted the floats and rejetted with 27.5 pilots and 340 mains.. It doesnt want to idle unless I keep the choke out on the first notch. What does that mean? I have the needle set in the middle of the 5 grooves and air screw at 1.5. When it idles better with the choke partially out doesnt it mean its lean? Help me out guys I'm ready to go crazy!! Quote
