christ6 Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 when adjusting my clutch today i noticed that the spot on the case where the kickstarter gear spring as they call it mates into the the casing is has been broken [in clymers manual page 169 fig 74 (a)] so now what teh hell do i do? its a piece of the casing, i guess i have to have someone weld it up and shape it or what? anyone else had a problem similar to this? fastrthnu Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 could have it welded back on,. or maybe have a machine shop or someone drill and tap a bolt in for it to hook too. Or get another case. Quote
David Keith Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 There really isn't that "big" of load applied to that area. So a weld will be fine. You may have to machine some clearance if the welder applies to much. You should be able to get it welded & cleaned up for less that $50. Quote
