i_bleed_blue Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 both sides will only come out 1 3/4 turn and its stuck will go back in but no matter how many times you try to work it out it both screws only goes 1 3/4 turns is this what happens when someone screws them in too tight? how would i fix it? if i force it to unscrew will it damage anything by looking at what previous owners have did to this buke anythings possible it is a cobbled up mess Quote
IROOST1 Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 they might be stuck to the springs. i would just force them out. the threads are only on the side closest to you. you might need a tiny screwdriver to get the springs out once the screws are out. i have some like new screws and springs if you need them. let me know how it goes. Ozzy87 Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Do you maybe have some dirt or sand stuck in the threads? I guess i would try screwing them in all the way just so they lightly seat and spray out the holes with brake cleaner and hit it with compressed air. Then maybe squirt a little oil or something in there to help it turn out. But clean off the oil again with brake clean so the screws dont vibrate out on you. just an idea. Quote
