CRAZY-SHEE! Posted April 2, 2007 Author Report Posted April 2, 2007 Gah, sry but i also forgot.. i been reading and people say i should get the dune port.. mid and high.. ok so i read that te best pipes for that dune port are shearers. Where do i get them + are they nice... cause my t-5's are in less the ok condition... (bumps, dents, the chrome blued, scratchs.. etc) Quote
baddsheee Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 The cylinders and the cases can be polished because they are aluminum. They can also be chromed. Where are you located, did you want to go with Shitnity cuz they are local? You can get the cases ported, and if you're gonna tear it apart, might as well weld the crank also. Do a search here about porting and call a few builders to see what they say. Sometimes the popular builders have long wait times but I guess you can say it is worth it if you're getting something good. Dune port is very nice with T5's. Quote
letsgetthisdone Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 My dune port gets about an hour of run time in the dunes with the stock gas tank. I'd stick with your T5's, they'll match a dune port very nicely. If you want new pipes, CPI's are better for all-around riding, they have more midrange then the shearers (i think, someone correct me if i'm wrong). If you do get an aftermarket tank get a Clarke 5.5gallon, they look much better then the IMS, and i think they are on ebay for like $185. Quote
CRAZY-SHEE! Posted April 2, 2007 Author Report Posted April 2, 2007 (edited) ok so do u have to do anything to the plastics or do u do the same thing as the stock tank. edit- nvm i found and article. thx anyway.. and the t-5's are good? cool. how is the dune port gonna run with the single carb kit? should i go back to the dual carbs? i can if i should but i like the single slide carb ( so much eiseier) edit # 2- http://zmperformance.com/?menu_dir=2&s...410c4ec08cd8b6d will this gas tank work with this graphics kit? thx http://store.albaaction.com/shop/GR-YABA-FLAME-RD.html Edited April 2, 2007 by CRAZY-SHEE! letsgetthisdone Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 i have a 35mm single on my dune port and i don't feel it is big enough, it does run good but i sure it could be better with a bigger single or duals. But when I gussetted my frame, i put some tubes right in the way of where the air filters for a dual carb setup would go. So i'm gonna step it up to a 39mm single and see what happens, hopefully its enuf or i'm gonna have to hack on my frame so i can go back to duals. And i am not a really big fan of graphix kits, all of 'em just seem way over the top to me, so you're askin the wrong guy about the graphix . Quote
