crbanshee Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 ok so i had he carbs cleaned and got them back on the bike now the right side just isnt working right. i pulled them back off and everything is clean as can be everything is back in the carbs correctly floats are working great i cant find anything wrong. for some reason the right carb is acting like its not sending fuel through at a high enough rate to keep up with the left. the bike idles great and revs out 100% untill it goes into gear then it acts like a foul plug. i changed plugs 3 times and still doing the same thing. carbs are hooked up perfect all boots and seals are perfect no cracks or any air leaks. does anyone have any clue what the hell i might be overlooking? i have been over and over them and i cant find a damn thing wrong. but shee just wont run right. i had a buddy pace me this weekend on pavement and im only reaching 53mph on pavement. its like the right side is just not wanting to co-operate. compression is a bit low but not too bad its getting awesome spark reeds are onle a couple rides old. i cant figure this one out for anything... anyone have a clue what it might be? theshee Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 make sure it is getting enough gas. Make sure the fuel T isnt all clogged up and you may want to check and make sure your carbs are in sync. Just a couple things to check. Quote
dajogejr Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 Crank seal...or electrics. Make or buy a leak down tester.... My cub did the same thing, even AFTER I purchased ALL new ignition. Started and idled great...free revved awesome. Put it in gear, it fell on it's face... Since you mentioned the compression is a little low...I'd bet the motor is tired overall, and a seal is starting to go. cr, did you check the basics: Choke tube in place slides in the right carb bowls in the right carb lastly, drain the tank and remove the fuel valve. You'd be surprised what crap can build up on the stock fuel valve screen... Quote

Floats work but are they the same height? maybe ones to low. if you swap the wires and you get the same results,. you isolated it to carbs/fuel. Quote
