AustinONeal Posted March 31, 2007 Author Report Posted March 31, 2007 One other thing, that CDI is getting the finger on this one. Running for several minutes before heating up and failing. that is the right amount of time for a CDI issue. Generally, stators will heat and fail in 1-2minutes. You can them check the stator real quick while hot and generally find a ground loop short. With 10-12 runs before it craps out, I would lean damn hard on that CDI. We have had them run for 15-20 min before they show signs of failure. Just swap and try it. Simple, simple. Brandon I did that im actually still running my buddys CDI off his bike, his bike runs great and flawless with my CDI on his, i dont think is the oil issue u speak of cause the plugs look absolutely fantastic, i just got to have a bad stator... well were those numbers good?, but im going to try a few things tomorrow, im going to try a whole new stator and see what happens, if i have to ill replace everything. I fingered the stator first because I have actually had that happen to me a few times. I have never had a CDI unit go bad. Quote
