WuddupDoc Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 I bought t5's and k and n from rocky mountian the other night and they came in. I didnt check and i already installed my air filter and stuff then when it comes to jetting i started then all of a sudden friend notices a huge dent in the pipe so i had to send them bike. Well i put my stock jets back in but left the k and n on and now my bike runs really funny. It only has about 1/4 of its throttle to use then its wide open after that. I dont know whats wrong and i noticed that maybe those two screws on thecarb moved somone please help. Plus the bike kills so much now. Quote
mpbanshee Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 I was a little confused by your post. Please explain in detail exactly what the problem is. What is the bike doing? Quote
Snopczynski Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 Is the choke balance tube on? Slides in Backwards? Slides lined up and going all the way down? Quote
WuddupDoc Posted March 27, 2007 Author Report Posted March 27, 2007 Theres a few problems. One is the throtlle, normally a throttle leads up to the full blown going all out. Now if i push my throttle its like its held wide open after pushing it more then 1/4 of a inch. It seems like its constantly held wide open. Another problem is the bike slowed down horribly. Before the bike used to pull hard in all the gears now it seems terrible slow, dont switch hard no matter what. Plus now if i dont rev up while downshifting it just kills. Quote
trueraiderfan Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 do you have the airbox lid on or off? if you took it off and put on the K&N filter and then put back the stock jetting that could be apart of your prolbem. As far as the wide open trhrotel (sp) is could have something to do with the jetting but more that likely your throtel (sp) cable is not routed right or is bound up somewhere along the line and that is why it is doing that . just my .02 and im outta money. Did you have the k&n filter on with the stock jetting before? If not, thats probley the problem. Dont be suprised if your jetting is off when you put those pipes on with the jets they gave you. Quote
WuddupDoc Posted March 27, 2007 Author Report Posted March 27, 2007 Right now im at stock with air lid on, what size jets should i use with k and n and t5's im at 400 above sea and always above 32 degreess Quote

Im at sea level 75-85 degrees and 320 is right on for me. Since its cooler in your area,. you might need to run a little richer. Quote
WuddupDoc Posted March 27, 2007 Author Report Posted March 27, 2007 no its generally 60-90 degrees here Quote
okbeast Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 I'd say around 330 then and go down from there but that should be safe since you said you were leaving the box on I believe. Have you disconnected the TORS crap? Quote
WuddupDoc Posted March 27, 2007 Author Report Posted March 27, 2007 Nope whats the point of tors elimination Quote
Wallrat Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 It really sounds like a cable issue. Take off the filters and look into the carbs. With the engine off, watch the slides open and close as you give it throttle. They should be going all the way up, and all the way down. Quote
