fastrthnu Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 I dont know if you can get just that part. I just threw one away that was good. Check a parts finder or a dealership or find someone about to buy a new stator. It would be a pretty easy fix,. I think its just 2 phillips screws and some taps. Quote
Ruko Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 Yes you can get just the pick up coil, I just replaced mine a couple weeks ago for the same thing. It's just the 2 wires like you said, so it's easy to replace. Quote
paulnyw Posted March 26, 2007 Author Report Posted March 26, 2007 when your replaced it did you splice the wires in or did it run through the harness and go into the plug itself? i just bought one from ricky stator and am waiting to get it Quote
Ruko Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 I spliced it in, the wires off the new coil are only a couple inches long. I just cut the old one off and connected the new one with crimp connectors and then shrink tubed them. There was lots of room on the back of the stator plate so having the connetions there didn't get in the way of anything. Quote
