jimbo Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 Just purchased a 2000 Banshee Wednesday and i'm not familiar with it to much. When the bike sits over night, there's gas leaking and i think it's coming from the two nipples at the bottom of the carb. bowls. Are those nipples for the bowl drain or are those nipples suppose to be connected to each other by a hose? there's another hose about midway on the carb that's about 3 inches long on each carb. Are they the drain hoses or are they suppose to connect each carb? thanks jim Quote

The hoses that are coming out of the barrel of the carb are bowl vents. If you have fuel coming out them, you need to be looking at the needle valve and seat attached to the float. There is also a single hose that connect to each carb in between the two. It is the choke crossover. Quote
jimbo Posted March 13, 2007 Author Report Posted March 13, 2007 thanks, the fuel is coming from the bottom nipples so i'm guessing the drain screws are not seated all the way in so i'll try and tighten them. Thanks again Quote

Thanks again The crappy thing about the way the drain screws are in there is that if you drain any solid out of the bowl, then some of them get stuck around the screw, and all of a sudden it doesn't seal properly. :shoothead: Quote
