bansheepartsguy Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 I was curious if anyone would know what exhaust setup would work best for a 10 mil stroker, 70mm piston trinity big bore kit. I will be running race gas, 35.5mm mikuni flat slide carbs, v-force, 36mil billet intakes, lockup clutch, ect. I want to run an out of frame drag pipe. Should I get big or small bore pipes with this setup? I think it's round about a 470cc. CPI or Shearer? Are ftz pipes any good? RDZ? If anyone has any for sale i might be interested...Thanks, Lance Quote

dynodon Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 (edited) Your gonna want to run big bore on a 10 mil. I wont even comment on which pipe to use, there are alot of good pipes out there. Who does your builder recomend to use ???? take that into consideration, as they do your porting !! I've been looking for the guy that built this motor but he has been hard to locate. It runs the spacer plate on the botom and a spacer on the top because the sleeves hang out of the top of the cylinders. Is this a common thing for trinity sleeves? I have been looking at the cpi's and they say to use a small bore for anything less than 500cc. Is this true with shearer as well. I have heard of Grand river but don't know anything about them or anyone that runs them. I need a set by easter and don't have time to wait for a custom set. This motor is way more than anything i've ever ridden before so I dont need the custom pipes just yet. I just want something that is a good all around drag pipe. these cylinders look like they flow quite a bit. I can stick my pinky finger in the bottom transfers and it will go in to the second knuckle. Quote
dynodon Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Almost every stock cylinder 7, or 10 mil. bike we have run, ran better on the top w/ big bores. But every motor is different!! Isnt there anyone in your area that you know that will put something on your bike for a couple of passes?? Quote
Ruko Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 I have a Cheetah 485 built by K&T and they recomended sticking with the small bore CPI's. Quote
