where are the dunes on the East coast?

a buddy of mine just moved down to Raleigh, NC, and said that there are some dunes to ride at within an hour or 2 of his house

any ideas what these are called, or where they are located?

The only REAL dunes on the east coast that I'm aware of is Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Mears, Mi.

 

But if you're from Romeo, you already know that.

 

IDK of any in NC, maybe a sand hill or two? I could be wrong... :shrug:

yea its called busco beach theres lots of sand there , its about an hour from raleigh i ride there a lot

also there is some big ass dunes at the coast near nags head , we have ridden but under the wire at night haulen ass one way lol but busco is awsome for drags and hill climbs
