Like the wiseman dajogejr told me do 2-3 heat cycles...let it come to operating temp then completely cool it down... then go for a ride,go through the gears but dont hold it at 1 steady rpm... after the ride...come back check the plugs,if the jetting looks ok let it cool back down then go take it for a good rip through the gears. but in my own experiance i dont hold it wide open for more then a second or 2 for the first 1 to 2 tanks of gas. If your not over 160psi, then you don't need race fuel..Race fuel only stops the motor from detonating at high compression, it won't give you any more hp...It'll actually slow you down, if you don't advance your timing for it..C12 is just a good quality fuel w/ higher octane levels. If you want a race fuel w/ hp gains, then you have to go w/ Ultimate 4, MR8 or MR9 which are oxygenated fuels..But it is also 14 bucks a gallon.... Quote
06BaNsHeE Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 I know this is off topic but does 380 sound way too high for a 55 gallon drum?Thats the price my builder gets it for and he told me that its usually like 400-550 for a 55 gallon drum. Quote
okbeast Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Not sure on the ratio to mix it at but... Most places around here sell it for $10 a gal. so.... Quote

laeger protrax banshee Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Ya thats a good price I paid more last year for a barrel.Go to duncans website they have a great write up on break in,its in there tech section. Quote

I would run it straight C12. JKJK's bro has the same motor w/ CPI's. He has 185psi. You might get away w/ 50/50, but I wouldn't chance it...You have to get race fuel anyways, so you might as well just run it straight...make sure you advance the hell out of your timing...I believe Joe K. is running +10 and also running the dynatek which advances it even more....the cubs are crazy... Thank you, Thank you, Thank you... A while back someone posted they had +8 on their cub, and people were saying it's too much timing, even for a cub. BS...cubs love timing. I had 8 on my plate plus curve 3 on my dyna...185PSI and straight 110 octane race gas. Rand very, very good. I'm glad to see someone agrees...thanks!!! Quote

phx450 Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 I'm breaking in my cub as well this weekend. I was told 10 gallons of easy riding not pinned throttle. Plenty of heat cycles then cool all the way down! Quote

phx450 Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 For those of you who have the dyna on your 421 cubs. how do you like them? I have stock CDI and coil. I will be breaking in the bike this weekend. After Break in we are throwing it on the dyno. I'd be curious to see if there is any gain. If anyone has a dyna or coil id be happy to throw it on. If it works i'll buy it! Sorry to change the thread about break in. but for me it relates! Quote
