theshee Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 ok guys lets me know what you think did i get butt slammed or are these decent cylinders? don Butt Slammed LOL... thats funny. :yelrotflmao: They look alright to me, but the pics are kinda dark, hard to see down in there. Quote
bentvalve Posted February 1, 2007 Author Report Posted February 1, 2007 another, so what do you guys think i paid $300 for these and some pistons but not sure im going to use them. oh yeah it looks like when rx ported them that they added epoxy? does that mean they went to far or more for shape? will i be happy with these on a trail bike? you won't hurt my feelings cause i will sell them if they will not work for me. would it be a good thing to run a hone through them,or just bust the glaze down? thanks don russell Quote
dajogejr Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Dammit...and I was hoping to see a different kind of "Jugs" when I read the topic.... yeah, dark...and, you're not taking any pictures of the transfers either. Quote
bentvalve Posted February 1, 2007 Author Report Posted February 1, 2007 the exhaust looks nice.. the intake is ok looking. im used to seeing port jobs on car heads,so im not really sure what to look for on a bike but anything would be an improvement over stock.. don Quote
bentvalve Posted February 1, 2007 Author Report Posted February 1, 2007 what is a transfer? don Quote
gipperz Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Its hard to tell by just pictures, I've been told the real power is in the exhaust. What do the transfer ports look like? Has the timing been changed in the transfer ports? Who did the porting and what kind of porting is it suppose to be? Any doubt about what you have I would send them off to a reputable engine builder and have them checked out. Better safe then sorry. Quote
HotCarl Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 I think your screwed, those cylinders are upsidedown. "There's your problem" Quote

Are you on a stock size crank? Measure from the top of the cylinder down to the top of the exhaust opening (in MM) and I can give you the duration of the exhaust port. Your other ports look at stock duration. Click on the pictures, that will explain the ports. Edited February 1, 2007 by KEVSWS6 Quote
bentvalve Posted February 1, 2007 Author Report Posted February 1, 2007 it is a stock crank. don Quote
