Alex! Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 What is the voltage output to the lights on a Banshee - is it 12v like a car? I'm wondering because I want to hook up some automotive gauges. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 what kind of gauges are you hooking up? you have a main auxillery power that you can tap into its the yellow with black wire i think. it goes into your light switch... you can splice into that for power... Quote
Alex! Posted February 1, 2007 Author Report Posted February 1, 2007 I want to hook up an Autometer coolant temp gauge, and I want the light in it to work when I turn on the lights. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 i want to say jbooker has one on his bike... you can just use the auxillery power to do that... tap it in with your light switch and run your ground and power wires... Quote
Bansh-eman Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 you know what it might not be booker with the gauge it might have been rippen thats got one... either ways its one of those two guys Quote

Alex! Posted February 3, 2007 Author Report Posted February 3, 2007 Now bwfore I order, I guess I want a mechanical style gauge - not electrical? Quote
Bansh-eman Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 the mechanical gauge only moves the needle based on the temp... you have to have a power lead to run a backlite gauge... Quote
