ok im starting to get a little bit of a noise from the clutch area on my shee and this is the first i noticed it. i know it didnt do this new. sounds kinda like a humming noise. havent been on her for a couple weeks and just remebered to ask. it only does it in neutral wiht the clutch out and the bike running. pull in the clutch and it quits. is this noise just the cluthes wearing out or are these signs of a more serious problem? I am running yamalube 20-40 in it and the oil stays clean. gets changed about every 1-2 hours.

thats pretty normal as long as it doesnt sound too crazy. every banshee motor ive ever had made noise in neutral until i pulled the clutch in.

My best friends stroker did that on Labor day all the sudden. Next trip out he shattered the clutch fibers and took out his crank seal.

the noise is coming from the left side so i dont think its the water pump but i do need to get rid fo that plastic pos anyways.

Sorry..........I read clutch area and thought of the right side. If it's coming from the left side, I would definitely pull the stator cover off and check it out. I am not really sure what would be humming on that side though.

you are absolutely right.

Hello, my name is Travis and i have a problem. I am an idiot. :shoothead: lol . Yeah i guess that that is going to be a good enough reason for me to to a complete tear down on it and get my porting and what not done. no really good time to do it since we usually have good riding weather here in Texas most of the time. quick question though, if i do the full drag port can i still run my FMF gnarlys? If i dont get the adjustable timing plate will that hurt the performance of the porting ? And will i still be able to do a trails/ mx style riding wiht drag porting? not much jumping involved just the turns and shit that i like. :thanks:
