differentstrokes Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 I was sorting through some jets I have and needed a 48 pilot for my 2 into 1 since I went back to an airbox, anyway I have a 48 pilot from my 450R's stock carb that fits but the bottom where it screws in is shorter. This jet fits, but I didn't know if the shorter bottom makes a difference since the top portion where the actual jet holes are is identical. Anyone with any experience please chime in. Here's a pic... Quote
wesw Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 i would get the correct jet. dont want to half ass something and fry your motor. it might work but still wouldnt take that chance. Quote
bansheeseat$$ Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 (edited) Jared this is what I come up with on the pilot differances.te smaller one is for VB,VD Honda series carbs and 600, 1000 hurricane.I'm asuming they are shorter for the carb body design and not to mention they are for four stroke applications. Edited January 28, 2007 by bansheeseat$$ Quote
differentstrokes Posted January 28, 2007 Author Report Posted January 28, 2007 Hmmm, I guess I'll just try to get a longer 48. Where's the best place to get one since sudco and cpw have a $20 minimum plus shipping? I need it and a 188 main. Any site sponsors? Quote

differentstrokes Posted January 28, 2007 Author Report Posted January 28, 2007 I've got the 185 and 190, but I'll take the 48 off your hands...sending you a PM. Quote
Banchetta Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 If you put the shorter one in, it might not get the fuel depending on the height of the fuel in the bowl. Especially when your riding and going up hills, etc....go to magicracing.com They have 24 hour online shopping. Quote
