Does that meen you have to use the clutch from first to second and then you can shift clutchless up to fifth and use the clutch going into sixth? Just trying to get this straight in my head. I want to go to a overide thats why I'm asking. Wondering if this would fit my needs. Quote

mattbc Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 2-5 means there is no first gear. No 2-5 means that only 2nd-5th are cut to use w/o the clutch. First gear is still useable and yes you have to use the clutch to go from 1st to 2nd. 6th gear can still be there... some guys cut the tit of the shift star so you cant get in 6th, some cut the tit and take the gear clear out, or you can leave it in and and use the clutch to shift into 6th. depends on how the guy had the tranny set up.
