fastrthnu Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 Now in engine building,. I have calculation sheets based on cfm, cam duration, trans type, ect for picking the right size carb for a motor. My bike is basically back to bones for now with stock carb n jet 28mm. Im the future, Im going to to trade my t5 setup for t6,. buy n send out new cylinders n head to be milled and ported for mx, while I get adjustable 4+ timing and lightened flywheel. Probley a +2 swing arm too. How do you figure out what size carbs to use? Or do you only need em for bigger bore/stroke? Quote
black sunshine Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 Cant help with the carbs, but.... I dont think you want to trade your T5's for T6's if you're going to get porting done. From what I understand the 5's respond better to ported motors. Quote
trueraiderfan Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 I deffinatl;ey secound that man please keep the t-5's you will regret getting the t-6's I had a pair and when they hit they hit hard but not lnong at all and only towards to top end. anyway about the carbs you should get new ones as soon as you get it home from wherever you bought it haha really im serious though Quote
