fastrthnu Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 I put my bike together from the ground up and I got a key switch with no key so I could cut up the switch half and not my harness. But the key end has 4 wires and the harness side has 2. Im lost as how to splice it to run. Anyone know? Quote

Its been awhile since ive done one but i believe you take the red wire and connect it with the black wire. Then you can use the factory kill switch on the left handlebars to shut it off. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 (edited) to bypass your key follow your 4 wires down to the plug... unplug it , the other half has 2 wires... cut the cap off that side and splice the two wires together and waalaa  edit:oh i forgot to add make sure you get some liquid tape or something like that and seal it up nice... i dont like using electrical tape casue its still exposed and stuff can get in there..biggest thing is tomke sure yo dont short it out on anything but i like mine to be all pretty Edited January 1, 2007 by Bansh-eman Quote

FASTOYS Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 Should of been able to just connect the harness side red to black with a pigtail and 2 connectors. Glad you got it figured out. Quote
