rdepiano12 Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 how much would it be to get the top end redone on a shee? maybe have a good deal if its not too much Quote
letsgetthisdone Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 You should be able to easily find a piston and gasket kit for $150-$200. And the a bor and hone job from a machine shop for both cylinders should be no more than $100. Definetily go with wiseco pistons though. Quote
BansheeDan Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 how much would it be to get the top end redone on a shee? maybe have a good deal if its not too much 200.00 for piston kit and gaskets 150.00 ish bore/hone thats if you do it yourself.... add a cpl hundred to that for someone else to re do it and put it back together Quote

I'd find a new machine shop if I were you. That is ridiculous for a bore and hone. Quote
bansheefreak Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 you can send your topend to jim @passion... he will bore and get pistons for it .. 200 bucks last time i checked.. Quote
rdepiano12 Posted December 31, 2006 Author Report Posted December 31, 2006 so its looking about 200$? Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Last time I did a top end on mine, it cost me $300 for parts, and labor to bore and hone. I did the tear down and re-assembly myself. Parts included pistons, rings, gaskets, wrist pins, and wrist pin bearings. It was about $125 for the bore and hone, but around here that's a normal price. Satsol67 Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 you can get the top end kit that includes pistons, rings, wrist pins, Cclips, and all the gaskets on ebay for 150 bucks that includes shipping. As for the hone/bore just depends on the shop you take it to. The guy here charges 40 bucks per jug for the bore. Hell if you can get a way with a hone i would do that myself just have to buy the bead hone. Quote
Washburn Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Pistons w/ everything 150-160. Bore should be no more than 30-45 at the most each hole. Quote
bansheefreak Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 let me repeat you can send your jugs to jim at passionracingengines.com 200 bucks for bore and pistons .. get them back install.. so maybe 230 for topend... 20 bucks or so for topend gasket kit.. depends where you live... Quote
