okbeast Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 No you don't have to split the cases. I found with mine that it was easier to slide the shift shaft out to get the seal out. I also already had the clutch cover off and all fluids drained so that made it even easier. I couldn't seem to get anything in to pull the old seal out w/ the shaft in. Quote

Just lube your new seal with a little oil and tap it in place with a similar diameter socket. You will have to use a 1/2" drive socket to fit over the shifter shaft. That's it. Quote
