Shaving the seat foam

I bought a extra seat ,I am wanting to shave it down.I am thinking a electric fillet knife would work but I am not sure. Anyone have any pointers?

Uhhh, I know the cheap way of doing it.

 

Take an old butter knife, wrap a towel around the handle, heat it up with an acetaline torch, and slice away. Used to do that on old snowmobile seats, the big ass boxy ones on the old Bombardiers.
