angler Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 If anyone has a small cc quad that is in good Quote
dogboystoy Posted December 16, 2006 Report Posted December 16, 2006 I just gont mine delivered yesterday. It is a chinese make. 110cc (you can get 50cc, or 90 cc if you want). I like it. It took about 2 hours to put it together (un crate, fill battery, bolt on tires etc.). I paid 600$ shipped to my door. It comes with a remote (key fob) thing that operates the remote start, and shut off, and also an alarm so you know when he is trying to ride it without permission. It also has a kill switch on the rear that you tug on the rope and it kills it. It is very quiet, and seems to be good so far. The alarm is VERY loud. Anyway I bought it from http://rightwayatv.com/ They cant get you one by christmas because it took like 2 weeks for them to get it to me, but it was worth the price. This thing is brand new and looks pretty good. I got the camo one. Good luck Quote
ellison445 Posted December 16, 2006 Report Posted December 16, 2006 I would go with a eton 40, they have a remote killswitch and it will be perfect for his size. Also eton motors are bulletproof and there is a shit load of aftermarket for them. My son started out on a viper 50, which is now a bigbore ported 70cc it holds its own with stock blasters. Cant go wrong with the money, Im not knocking the brand above but wait until something breaks on it, trying to find parts is going to be a bitch. Quote
angler Posted December 16, 2006 Author Report Posted December 16, 2006 (edited) Thanks. A friend of mine let me borrow one of those (the Chinese one) but we couldn't get it started. I think the floats were stuck in the carb and gas just poured out of it. I'm sure if it is new (and well maintained) it would be great. Edited December 16, 2006 by angler Quote

I've been looking for my 2 small boys but don't want to spend a bunch since they'll outgrown them within a year or two. Quote
NYUK Posted December 16, 2006 Report Posted December 16, 2006 do yourself a favor and stick to the major brands.they are proven and parts are readily available for them,i just sold 2 minis, a raptor 80 and a real oldschool moto 4 80. the moto 4 was 20 years old and ran like it was new, it was actually faster than the newer rappy.no mechanichal failures on either.they both took beatings for years and never complained.
