cal9126 Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 im doing the carrier arm bearings on my warrior ive loosend the axle nuts and when trying to push the axle it will go a couple inches but will then stop and not move anymore......i hit it many times with a heavy hammer but that suckker wont budge....could it be the bearings doing this maybe the axle rusted to the bearingsor maybe its the spacer in the carrier arm....any helps appreciated.... LiftdT4R Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 Were you able to get the sprocket hub off? If not, the splines are probably corroded pretty damn good. If you did get it off, the bearings are probably what's fucked up. On one of my banshees, the axle came off super easy, on the other I just junked the whole carrier and hubs. You can dry giving it a bath with Liquid wrench, that might work. Here's what I did with mine: Quote

Youre sliding it out thru the right side (towards the brake rotor), right? What kind of shape were the bearings in? Play/grinding? Probably getting hung up on what you were figuring...may be fairly inexpensive to unbolt the carrier and take it to a shop with a press. Quote
