I started out on a Honda Fourtrax 300 and a Kawasaki Bayou. The bayou would be my reccomendation i still own it and its a 1995 that has been flipped jumped of of 20 foot cliffs and any other dumbass thought that entered our heads i have ran it for 3 years now with nor airbox or filter and the bastard wont die. If you bury it in mud and water to the handlebars simply replace the plug and clean the carb and it runs like new.

A few years back I rode with a guy who rode a bayou...his first quad, he put it threw hell climbed everything in site, he even tried to climb some trees. He was really crazy and it kept running strong for what it was.
