JasonR Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 I need a clutch for my banshee.....I would like one better than stock but still affordable. Also, is there a write up of a clutch install? Is there a banshee manual I can buy? I've worked on my fair share of cars, but I've never replaced a quad's clutch. Also, if I opt to take it in somewhere, what's a reasonable price to pay for the install? Thanks! Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 get your self a clymers manual it shows you everything you need to know about rebuilding your bike... call jeff at fast he sells magnum baskets .... much cheaper then hinson... then get your self some fzr 1000 fibers and stock plates and your ready to rebuild it... csrmel Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 clutch job is real easy. no special tools are required except one of those screwdrivers you hit with a hammer and it turns the screw. you need one for the case screws. while you are in there grab some slightly stiffer clutch springs. rocky mountain atv sells tusk springs for under $10. also a good idea to install a pancake bearing. save you alot of hassle down the road. put fzr fibers on as already mentioned and you should be good to go. if you have problems just post up and someone will help you.
