rideblue_06 Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 I am thinking about advancing the timing +4 but don't want to if I have to run race gas. I have 155 psi compression in both cylinders at sea level. I am running 93 octane right now. Am I pushing it with pump gas at this compression or am I ok? Quote

You are pretty close to pushing it where you are at. You may get away w/it, I am not sure I would risk it though. Quote
rideblue_06 Posted November 24, 2006 Author Report Posted November 24, 2006 I think that I heard 170 and above you need to run race gas. But I wasnt sure. I have heard a few different things? Quote
Stinger Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 I think that I heard 170 and above you need to run race gas. But I wasnt sure. I have heard a few different things? I've got 152psi in each side and plus 4 timing on 91 octane...I'd say you'll probably be ok... Quote
Animalman294 Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 170 on 91!!!!!!! Damn boy, you at least need to run 50/50, but at 170 you should be on race fuel. You better be dead on with your jetting, because otherwise thats an expensive lesson........ Quote
