SoCalBanshee Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 I am new to the banshee world and didnt really know how much they are capable of. With that being said. What is the TORS and what does it do? I know that it has something to do with the throttle, but I have a twist throttle kit so do I have the TORS and if I do is it needed or can I get rid of it like everybody else? When I installed the twist throttle I dont remember taking anything off except the stock carb covers and thumb throttle. Thanks  Quote
Shee-Male Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 TORS is throttle over ride system, it cuts the rpm if the thumb throttle is closed and the slide is open, it also cuts rpm if you exceed a certin angle, or leave the parking brake on. If you have replaced the carb tops, the tors is gone, but you will have to install an idle kit, you can also unplug the tors box, it is above the left cylinder. Quote

You mentioned an idle kit, is that the idle screws that I had to drill and tap in the sides of my carbs? KingSpade Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 Thanks for the info. You mentioned an idle kit, is that the idle screws that I had to drill and tap in the sides of my carbs? Thanks for the info. You mentioned an idle kit, is that the idle screws that I had to drill and tap in the sides of my carbs? yes that would be the idle kit mentioned. if you drilled and tapped screws into the outsides of each carb you are taken care of, just make sure that the lock nut on the idle screw is tight, they have a reputation of vibrating lose and falling out.
