theshee Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 (edited) I need to know where to get some ball joints for a banshee. I guess that is what they would be called on a banshee, not sure. I need all four that hook the a-arms to the front steering knuckles/ spindle. Any idea where I can find them? Rocky Mountain ATV and Dennis Kirk dont have them. Thanks Edited November 20, 2006 by theshee Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 you talking about the joints that connect the a-arms to your spindles or the joints that are on your tierods? Quote
Mullet Man Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 (edited) if its a-arms, you can only replace the lowers IIRC. the uppers, you have to buy new arms dealerships have them at about $25 a pop (ball joints, not arms) uninstalled i'm surprised RMATV doesnt carry them Edited November 20, 2006 by Mullet Man Quote
theshee Posted November 20, 2006 Author Report Posted November 20, 2006 The ones that hook the a-arms to the spindles, and the tie rod ends too, but I can find them. Fawk, the upper one is the one thats bad. I'll take a pic of it and post it here so you can see what i need. The rubber is all torn so I dunno. Thanks for the replies fellas. Quote

I dont know what brand the a-arms are, so would stock ball joints fit? Here are some pics so you can see... Heres a pic of the whole set up. Top and bottom. Heres a pic so you can see the top ripped one. Here is the a-arms, ball joints and everthing. Thanks for the help fellas, im new to the banshee stuff. Quote
Mullet Man Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 (edited) now i really cant help lol if you dont know what arms they are, its gonna make it difficult to give any info. you do have a few options. 1 would be to take the entire arm (or just unthread the joint out of the arm) to a machine shop or some sort of fabrication place (preferably a chassis/suspension) type shop. and start asking questions on where they get there joints from, if they can measure it for you so you could order replacements etc. etc. 2 e-mail some a-arm makers and ask them if they recognize the arms. might get lucky 3 i would think that an upper ball joint is a common part number on most aftermarket arms. so ordering one and testing it out might work. (find out which ball joint most places use) Edited November 20, 2006 by Mullet Man Quote

Thanks those look exactly like the magnum a arms on my wifes banshee,i have been told that they are just automotive ball joints , i would take one to a good auto parts store,if nothing else they would probably have the boot.or look in dirt wheels for a place that sells magnum a-arms Quote
