'04limited Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 hey guys i bought a new shee yesterday '06 special edition it seems like 0-1/4 throttle it tries to bog a little if you get up some rpm's it takes off ok just wondering what might be going on. also when i bought it i got a set of tr6 pipes and my buddy said i should let the motor break in before i put the pipes and filters on will putting them on now do any damage or should i wait Quote
okbeast Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 If it's bogging in that throttle area I would think your jetting would be off. Not sure if it would be pilot or needle tho. What is your jetting at now? Quote
625banshee Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 I wouldnt think it would hurt it if you put pipes and filters on it, it should run better but youll have to rejet it. Quote
'04limited Posted November 20, 2006 Author Report Posted November 20, 2006 right now the jetting is 200 main needle in third clip its stock still Quote
65983cobra Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 right now the jetting is 200 main needle in third clip its stock still Try turning the air screws But make sure they are the same. It sounds like it may need a little more fuel so you would turn them in. If that makes it worse though turn them back out. Pilot screws working range is .5 to 2.5 out. it should be set at 2 out from factory. Quote
ojcool Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 Depending on your elevation you may need to change the needles. When i first brought one home at 187' I had to drop the needles one clip to get rid of that bog. Quote
