I have a 2000 banshee. My mods are : no airbox lid, pro-flo adapter and a k&n filter. My elevation is 4500 ft. I am running 260 mains and my bike is running awesome. I am in the middle of installing a set of t-5 pipes and a set of boysen power reeds that I have port matched the reed cage to. The toomey tech line says to put in the 280s, I dont think that that is enough steps rich for the pipes, Im already 260s, What do you guys think? They seem to think that I am jetted so high now because of my fuel mix 40 to 1 R50 klots, they dyno test at 32 to 1 yamalube, but that doesnt make sense I am getting more gas than they are my mixture is thinner.

you may be thinner than they say but your 260 jets wont let as much fuel in as the bigger say 280s with the pipes i would for sure try going up a size more.

Plug chop it. At that elevation with no air box lid and T5's I'd think 260 would be perfect....

Premix ratio doesn't make that big a difference, unless you're talking non-synthetic oil @ 20:1 vs. synthetic oil @ 50:1...

Pick your oil and ratio and then jet it. NEVER change oil/ratios to compensate for improper jetting.

Thanks for the info guys, the thing is im at 260s BEFORE the pipes and reeds. This thing is not running rich either, it is more like on the edge of being to lean. I bought this bike new and have had no other mods till the pipes Im doing now. Im thinking putting in 300s and coming down from there. This machine has always run hard, I got lucky when I bought it and got a good one.
