bansheefourseven Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 Went to mounds today in michigan. Lined em up with a stock 05 450r and a stock 05 yfz450 Leaving hard in 2nd I was able to pull out a quad or so they caught me fast and jumped out a quad length and just when I started to gain a little we had to shut em down. Several races and most with same result. 1st yfz450 2nd 450r 3rd with my front tires even with the 450rs rear tires The freshly rebuilt 96 banshee. The yfz had the 450r by a half quad or so . I was very impressed with the ol 96er. I have the stock dunlop shit tires on her too . Im pretty confident with some holeshots Id have taken the win. What a giant f...ing mud hole it was out there today, which seems to be the case everytime we ride it. I babied her for about a tank but I was powershifting by the end of the day. The guy on the yfz wasnt using the clutch when he shifted. It was bone stock do any of you do this? (shift without clutch on stock tranny) He said he only uses it to start off and to stop? WTF?? It was awsome I feel like someone kicked my ass for 5 hours. She sure is a handfull when ya grab a thumbfull over nasty 3 ft uneven whoops. There was some gnarly berms with winding straights that I was untouched on. Coming off a warrior as my last quad there just isnt any feeling better than ripping 1st through 4th sideways on a banshee. Those new 4 stokes are fast and my hats off to em but there is no substitute for that eyeball flattening 2 stroke power. It took me all of 20 minutes to get the feel for keeping it in the rpms Sorry for rambling on Im f...ing stoked right now. Can anyone tell me which way does what on the stock rear adjustable shock on the 96 banshee? I want the rebound to be alot slower it seemed to be launching the backend in the whoops Ill post some pics of the aftermath in a few!! Quote
4strokessuck Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 Had my fun with the 400's and 450r's today too. Raced them on my girls bone stock Blaster. Of corse they beat me by about 4. Then I hopped on my Shee and beat them by 4-6. By the way, if you tighten the knob on the bottom of the shock, you will lessen the rebound. It took my bike about 3 days of riding to fully break in. Each day it seemed to get faster. Swap those tires and have your revenge. Good luck. Quote

thegroup Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 depends, if the chick ur fucking is a "log in the sack" or would be considered "porn star" level Quote
bansheefourseven Posted November 6, 2006 Author Report Posted November 6, 2006 I only nail the ones considered on the "porn star" level. Or at least were at some point (MILFS) Im acting giddy like a child because I got this thing 4 months ago and thought it was sweet only to find I had 90lbs of compression in both cylinders. So a week before labor day I ripped it apart thinking I would only need rings. After finding my pistons and rings were 2 strokes from total disaster I was down for a while due to funds missing ride after ride up north. But I got some new pro lites and had a lil clean up port job. I was thinking Id get smoked by the new big iron. Nope. Barely beat me by a quad. Although they were both bone stock so is mine other than the clean up porting which seemed to really wake this thing up. There was a guy on a black limited edition out there( Also bone stock but no porting) I took him by a whole length 4 straight races and never saw him again to chat with him. Ya know whats funny. Even though I found out what it had and was very happy Ive been scrolling ebay for pipes, reeds, K&N filter , shocks, tires . Pretty much everything I wasnt happy about like traction, exhaust note, suspension ( I feel like I was hit by a truck yesterday, Im too out of shape). Anyways, thanks for listening Im sure you know how it is Quote
