i hada twist throttle and didnt like it so i got the new cable to adjust for the thumb and tors caps. installed the cable correctly but i dont know where the black plug from the thumb throttle plugs into. i tried starting it and when i did it just reved so i shut it off. just trying to find out where toplug it into to

Little more info would be nice. So you got rid of TORS to go to a twist, now you are trying to hook all the TORS shit back up to make your new TORS- type cable work? This is kind of a confusing one because the bike shouldn't rev no matter what unless the slides are stuck (or installed backward) or if the bike is sucking air or out of gas (super lean).

the t.o.r.s is removed the cable is fine too, it the plug that comes from the thumb throttle i need to figure out if i need to clsoe the circuit or plug it into another cable

If you have unplugged the TORS box underneath the gas tank, you don't have to plug it into anything. As mentioned above, it should not rev up even if the TORS was hosed.
