blak banshee Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 I advanced my timing and when I put everything back together, my banshee would just start for a second then stall. I was fucking pulling my hair out trying to figure what went wrong. I knew I saw people complaining about it on here a few times also. I pulled everything back apart and found that the flywheel had rubbed the insulation off 2 of the stator wires and was shorting. thats why it fired for a second, enough to generate a current and then just short out. Hope this is helpful to someone having a similar problem after rebuild or mod. be very careful of where the stator wires are routed. I used a little zip-tie to secure them to the pickup harness. Animalman294 Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 Funny you should mention that, Jeff said that when they put my cub together the same wire you are talking about was nearly cut in two. So he fixed it and made sure it wouldn't happen again............ Quote
