diesel Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 am having problems with my trans when am in 1st gear at high rpm's it wont go into 2nd i have to bring down the speed and rpm's a little then it goes same for 4th gear from 3rd...does anyone know what that is??? i hated short shifting... 1999 banshee Quote
rriggs Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 check your clutch adjustment..2nd gear will do that under hard acceleration if it isnt disengaging the clutch all the way..not sure about the 4th gear issue...what kind of oil is in it? high viscosity oil can do that as well..drain it out, check for shavings or anything out of the ordinary.. 2strokespirit Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 Make sure your bike does not have more than 1500ml of oil in it, if you have to much oil in your gearbox it will make shifting hard and hard to find neutral. Check clutch adjustment and oil vecosity. Good Luck Quote
