Lee
If you're on a DSL or Cable internet connection and use Firefox or Internet Explorer, then I have the app for you. Google Labs has created a very small web app called the Google Web Accelerator. Don't waste your time with the cheesy internet acceleration programs pushed through pop up window advertisements. This one is free and legit...hell it's from google. http://webaccelerator.google.com/ More About Web Accelerator Google Web Accelerator uses various strategies to make your web pages load faster, including: * Sending your page requests through Google machines dedicated to handling Google Web Accelerator traffic. * Storing copies of frequently looked at pages to make them quickly accessible. * Downloading only the updates if a web page has changed slightly since you last viewed it. * Prefetching certain pages onto your computer in advance. * Managing your Internet connection to reduce delays. * Compressing data before sending it to your computer. I'm using it right now, and trying it out. Hopefully it doesn't cache too many things or for too long. But I'd say it's worth a shot, since you can turn it off at any time too.
