mjv66 Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 when i got this banshee the stator was bad on it, i bought a new stator and it ran good for a goodwhile until my crankshaft got stripped, well just recently i fixed the crank got it all back together and its giving the same symptons as the bad stator did, it will fire sometimes and sometimes it wont, the spark looks awful weak when it does fire, i fired it up today the engine revved high on its own without pushing the throttle, and i turned the key and the run switch both off and it still kept running, after i got it to shut off it wouldnt hit a lick the TORs is dissconnected any replys appreciated Quote
boonman Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 Sounds like you have a short somewhere in the wiring. And the revving thing, that scares me. Could be an air leak. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 how much gap you have from the pickup for the stator and the flywheel? should be a match book... check that too... Quote

You don't want to move the coil and flywheel so close thgether that it is hard to pull the cover out though, just so it is snug. Good luck bro! Quote
Justintoxicated Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 I think you have something hooked up wrong if the kill switch and key are not shutting the bike off. Recheck your wiring. Not sure on the Reving could be anything from an airleak to idle adjustment. Are the slides in the carbs functioning correctly? Throttle cable sticking? Quote
