Ok...Stock porting, 2 into 1 carb single 35mmPWK, Milled head with re-cut domes, +4 swingarm, and +4 timing......

I am riding strictly dunes....mostly in the dunes not a lot of drag racing....but Bansheeryder21 and I have daily races up Test Hill for bragging rights.....Anyhow, i'm always loosiing but his bike is ported. He's going to run 14/41 with 20x8x8 Haulers.....that'll work for him.....but for me i'm running 13/41 and the thing rips through the gears with no real pull on the top end.....i run out of gear....there's plenty of motor there but i just pin it and it's only going so fast......i don't want to loose the low end for cruising the dunes but i would like to pull harder up the hill.......i wouldlike to be able to pull hard into 5th gear on the hill......noo need for 6th.....but at the same time cruise dunes with plenty of throttle response for those razor backs and walls......i have a 40 tooth rear that i thought about trying with the 13 front.....any thoughts would be great....

there isn't enough hill to get into 6th gear.....well i should say i don't have enough motor to pull that kind of speed.....i want to pull hard but not loose the low end.....best of both worlds bro...??? got any suggestions???

if your hitting 6th gear climbng a hill something is wrong .... you should be in 4th peged or just hitting 5th at the top... try 13/42.... but with your mottor id go back to 14/41....dosent sound like much power to try pulling the gear your running...

13/42????? I thought that going up in the rear took away top end????? This is just me but i thought using that calculator that the 40 really improved the top end with the 13 front .....i'm only running the ITP sand Stars in the rear so i'm not going to bogg down like a hauler would bogg this bike down......so anyhow my thought was to go down one in the rear???? Unless someone convinces me otherwise???? Somebody tell me i'm way out in left field????

i beleive your motor reacts opposites from front to rear... dropping a tooth in the front does the same as adding 3 in the rear???

i want to say Polish had a 13/42 when he first got his bike stock...he loved it...

Yeah my buddy rides 13/43 and it's a wheelie machine....well with me on it it is but he's like 230 so it's good for his size......i just want to pull hard like you said....all the way up the hill in 4th ready to shift into 5th at the top if i had more room to run......but the biggest thing is dunability.....gotta have that 3rd gear low end punch to get up out of those bowls and over those 3 foot walls......gotta be able to get the fron end up.....can't loose that with the +4????

i got a +4 and it climbs the lips fine... my only prob was i had some tire with only 8 paddles on it last time so i got some new 10 paddle haulers... Polish was climbing right over the dunes in 3rd and wasnt having any problems i on the other hand was spinning the crap out of mine so i was working 2 times as hard to get over them and then beat the break at the top so i dont launsh over the side of a 200 foot dune...

Ok....well i'm going to try both then.....i'm going to take a 13/40 setup......and i'll also take a 41,42 rear with me as well as a 14 front.....If at first i don't succeed i'll try, try again.....it may take a couple of times but the time and effort will be worth it......I see you're in San Diego....where do you ride the most???

Last time I went out I had 13/41 and am running sand skate II v-blades. I did some draggin and was kickin ass on the holeshot. I also only weight 135 so that helps me out a bit

12/43..... how's that workin out for ya????? I see you have the rockets on there......what else do you have done to it.....how does it ride....

love it! it works great for hills and dragging, other than that i don't need to go any faster than that in 6th
